Foundations of Planning

(Year 1 - We’ll move at your pace)

Meeting 1: Initial Conversation (60-min)

We start with a no-pressure, introductory meeting to get to know each other. We’ll discuss what you hope to get out of this potential relationship and whether NewLeaf is the right fit for your needs. If you have a partner or spouse, they will join us as well. After this conversation, if we agree to move forward, we’ll schedule the next steps.

Meeting 2: Clarify Your “Why” (60-min & 15-mins of pre-work)

We’ll explore what matters most to you in life through a values exercise. This allows us to use your values as a lens through which we view all future financial decisions. I hope you’ll leave this meeting feeling confident and energized to start living your ideal life with money as a tool.

Meeting 3: Get Organized (homework & online communication)

Together, we’ll organize your personal financial data through our secure online portal, ensuring a clear understanding of your current financial situation.

Meeting 4+: Collaboration (60-min, as many as we need!)

With your finances organized, we’ll begin to align them with your values. In our collaborative recommendations meeting, we’ll discuss the best steps to improve your financial picture, identifying the most meaningful and achievable next steps. We won’t create a 100 page financial plan, but we create a list of 3-5 actions we can put into place now to be more efficient.

Implementation & Execution (homework, possible meeting)

Now that we’ve outlined the next steps, it’s time for action! We’ll help implement the agreed-upon strategies to move you toward your financial goals.

Ongoing Planning

(Year 2+)

Semi-Annual Meetings

Each spring and fall, we’ll meet to review your financial progress and goals. In our spring meeting, we’ll focus on reviewing values, assessing goals, and updating strategies. In the fall, we’ll review tax strategies, workplace benefits, and protection plans to ensure you’re on track.
